This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1948 and 1950. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings. There is a shallow notch alongside the receiver for a side-mounted scope (Griffin & Howe, etc), and the stock has been fitted with a Pachmayr recoil pad. The stock was previously bedded to the barreled action; most of this bedding has been relieved to allow fitting to another receiver.
This stock appears to have an original finish. The wood is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The finish shows some handling wear with many scuffs and scrapes, but is still in good condition. The original checkering is in very good condition with some dings and scrapes. The recoil pad is in very good condition.
