This is a post-war marksman stock from a target rifle made between 1948 and 1963.
This stock has likely been professionally refinished; it's a beautiful finish job that looks very close to original. There are no cracks, dents, gouges, or notable scratches. The wood and finish are in pristine condition.
The stock has the following modifications: it is equipped with a White Line vented recoil pad, and a post-64 rear swivel base. The length of pull has been shortened from 13 5/8" to 13". The stock has been previously bedded, with some bedding still remaining. Please see photos.
