This is a .257 Roberts Standard rifle built in 1953. The bolt and receiver are both marked with serial number 268947. The rifle is in NRA excellent condition. 

The Monte Carlo stock is in excellent condition with an original finish and a few minor handling marks but no dents, dings, splits, or chips. The checkering is clean and crisp with no flat spots. The steel butt plate has a notable patch of shallow rust and worn finish.

The bluing is at 95%, with some minor wear on the bolt components. The are no notable scratches, dings, or other metal damage or repairs. Overall, the metal is in excellent condition. 

The bore of the 24" barrel is rated as a 10 out of 10, with no wear or damage.
