This .270 Standard rifle was produced in 1953. It grades in NRA very good, approaching excellent condition with all original finishes, very light bluing wear and a few very minor handling marks.

The stock retains its factory finish in very good condition and the steel factory buttplate is intact. There is no oil staining of the wood and the checkering is crisp and unblemished. There are a few minor handling marks in the wood, but no gouges, cracks or other notable damages. The stock has not been bedded, shortened or otherwise modified.

The original factory bluing is intact and grades at 95%. There is light edge wear on the muzzle and a very small rub on the left side of the barrel near the front sight, but no other notable wear marks. The bore of the 24" standard barrel has been inspected by borescope and retains strong rifling with no heat damage or pitting whatsoever. There is very minor throat wear and light copper fouling from normal and proper use.  We grade the bore an 8/10.

All parts are correct for the year and style of the rifle.  The bolt does not have a visible serial number and may have been replaced at some point.

NOTE: This rifle must be shipped to an FFL or C&R holder who can complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who receive and transfer the rifle to you.
