This is a Winchester model 70 rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 294264, indicating a 1954 manufacture date.
The stock has its original finish with some handling marks. There is also a notable ding on the butt, below the comb. The are no cracks, splits, or repairs. The checkering on this rifle is in excellent condition. The steel buttplate has some pits. There is a ding on the rear sling swivel.
The finish on the barrel is in excellent condition and there is no notable metal damage. The receiver has only slight wear and also no metal damage. There is minor wear on the receiver rails. The bolt and bottom metal are in excellent condition, with maybe some slight fading on the floorplate. All parts appear to be original.
The bore has almost no wear or pits and we rate it as a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
