This stock is originally from a standard rifle produced between 1951 and 1958. It will fit all standard rifles produced between 1948 and 1963, other than the H&H magnums.
This is a stock with real character. It is well-worn, rugged, and definitely has some stories to tell. It retains its factory finish and original steel butt plate, which has nearly all the bluing worn off. We half-expected to find hidden treasure under the butt plate, and although we didn't, the vibe is definitely there. The walnut is graced with plenty of battle scars in the form of scratches, dings and dents, but no cracks. There is some flaking of the finish near the butt plate. The checkering is remarkably clean and unmarred, with only a few slightly flat spots. The stock has not been bedded or otherwise modified.
