This is a very unique stock that appears to have been manufactured in 1941. It will fit any standard rifle made from 1936 to 1948. The checkering on the grip is done in 20 lines per inch, but the forearm is 18 lines per inch. In 1941 Winchester transitioned from 20 lines per inch to 18 lines per inch and this stock appears to be a unique transition piece.
The finish is beautiful, nearly flawless, and appears to be original. There are no cracks, splits, or gouges in the stock. The checkering is clean and crisp with no flat spots. The butt plate is in flawless, like-new condition.
