This is a Monte Carlo stock from 1957. It probably began as a Featherweight stock, but the barrel channel has been nicely cut for a very typical sporter contour (fits a sporter barrel with the rear sight boss removed). It is inletted for the tapered tang receiver and features 18 lines per inch checkering with the late-style blended heel on the grip.
The stock is in very good condition, but used with some handling marks, scratches and finish wear. There are no major problems such as gouges, cracks or oil staining. The stock has been fitted with a Pachmayer recoil pad.
