This is a .270 standard barrel from a standard 1947 Model 70 rifle.
Bluing - This barrel has been reblued. The only notable bluing loss in in the rear sight dovetail and behind the dovetail where a sight ramp was installed.
Metal - Overall, this barrel is in good condition. There are some pits in the metal, particularly near the lettering and on the muzzle. These pits have been cleaned and rust was removed before the barrel was reblued.
Bore - 9/10 - The bore shows almost no wear and only a very few minor pits. The rifling is bright and smooth throughout the length of the barrel. Borescope verified.
