This is a Winchester model 70 standard barrel chambered for the .30-06 Springfield caliber, pulled from a 1952 rifle.
Bluing - 80% - This barrel shows signs of bluing loss, with multiple spots of wear and fading throughout the barrel. The most notable spots of wear fall along the stock line, but the fading is fairly consistent through the entire barrel.
Metal - Overall, this barrel is in very good condition. There several minor surface scratches in various spots on the barrel, as well as some minor but noticeable nicks in the metal. Besides these spots, there are no other significant marks of metal damage anywhere along the barrel.
Bore - 7/10 - The bore is in excellent condition, only showing some signs of light wear that would be expected with light use of the barrel. The rifling is clearly defined throughout the length of the barrel, and there are no signs of significant pitting or other metal damage along the bore. Borescope verified.
