This is a very early .30 Gov't '06 sporter barrel from a Winchester Model 70 rifle. The bottom stamp on the rifle indicates 1935 production for the barrel. Most likely this barrel was installed on a 1936 rifle.
Bluing - 80% - The bluing on this barrel shows significant fading and bluing wear. There are multiple spots with heavy scratching, and there are spots where the bluing has been stained and is slightly discolored.
Metal - Overall, this barrel is in very good condition. There are multiple spots of minor surface scratching and many minor nicks across the barrel, but no areas of significant damage.
Bore - 5/10 - The bore shows signs of wear from previous use. The rifling is still clearly defined and consistent throughout the bore, but there is a consistent amount of light pitting throughout the length of the barrel. Borescope verified.
