This is a .300 H&H Magnum standard contour barrel from a 1948 Model 70 rifle.
Bluing - 98% - The bluing is dark and even, without even any edge wear at the crown. By all appearances, this is a near-perfect factory finish.
Metal - Under very close examination, some extremely small scratches can be found; from removal of the front sight hood and just under the sight ramp.
Bore - 9/10 - The bore has almost no wear and has no pitting. Borescope verified.
