This is a Winchester model 70 sporter barrel chambered for the .300 H&H magnum caliber, pulled from a 1956 rifle. The barrel has been expertly ported.

Bluing - 80%  - This barrel shows signs of bluing loss, with multiple spots of wear and fading throughout the barrel. There is a patch of abrasion above the caliber stamp that has removed an area of bluing. Areas that are unworn remain dark and mostly even.

Metal - Overall, this barrel is in very good condition. There several minor surface scratches in various spots on the barrel, some minor but noticeable nicks in the metal, and the above-mentioned patch of abrasion. A previous owner also stamped the original rifle's serial number on the underside of the barrel directly below the year stamp.  This mark can be seen in the listing photos.

Bore - 9/10 - The bore is in excellent condition, only showing some signs of light wear that would be expected with light use of the barrel.  The rifling is clearly defined throughout the length of the barrel, and there are no signs of significant pitting or other metal damage along the bore.  Borescope verified.
