Initially cataloged in 1941, no rifles were chambered for the .35 Remington until 1946. The chambering was listed in the catalog through 1947, although a small number of rifles continued to be produced until 1954. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFurther increasing the rarity in any configuration, Winchester produced rifles chambered for the .35 Remington in Standard, Super Grade, Carbine, and Target configurations. This rifle was produced in 1948 in the standard rifle configuration and \u003cspan\u003egrades in NRA very good condition.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe metal grades at 90%+ with slight fading and wear. The bottom metal has some very light freckling and a few shallow scratches. There is bluing wear on the receiver bolt guide rails. There are no other significant marks, damage, or blemishes. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe low comb stock has it's original finish and steel buttplate, although the finish may have been touched up or overcoated. The wood shows numerous light handling marks and shallow dings and rubs, but no cracks, splits, or repairs. The buttplate shows moderate bluing loss, light scratches, and shallow surface pitting.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bore of the 24\" grades a 9 out of 10 under borescope inspection. This rifle was probably carried more than fired, as there is no notable wear in the throat or on the rifling, but there is light pitting in the last 2\" of the barrel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAll parts are correct and appear to be original to the rifle and the bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNOTE: This rifle must be shipped to an FFL or C\u0026amp;R holder who can complete the transfer.
