This is a bolt housing made in 1954 for standard cartridges. It will work non-magnum calibers from .220 Swift to .358 Win (extractor ring not included).
The bolt handle has been modified slightly to create additional clearance for a scope with a larger eyepiece. Other than the modification, the bolt grades at NRA very good to excellent condition with some minor bluing wear.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
