This is a type-II bolt housing for standard caliber rifles.
Handle bluing - 80% - The bluing on the bolt handle is notably worn, particularly on the bolt knob.
Metal - This bolt is in very good overall condition. There are no significant scratches, nicks, or other marks of damage on the bolt shaft or face. The bolt shaft appears to have been "jeweled" at one point to create a similar appearance to many Super Grade parts, but the jeweling is quite worn and almost unnoticeable.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
