This is a matching receiver and bolt body pair from a 1952 H&H magnum rifle. This receiver is the correct size for the .300 H&H magnum and .375 H&H magnum cartridges. It appears the threads for the barrel were cut 0.010" oversize, probably for fitting a custom barrel. The is no evidence of other blueprinting steps taken on the receiver or bolt. When we bought the rifle, it was fitted with a standard factory barrel, which fit somewhat loosely in the threads until tightened against the shoulder. This receiver should be fitted with a custom aftermarket barrel, fitted to the oversize threads, by a competent gunsmith. Both pieces are marked with the serial number 211987, but the marking on the bolt is probably not factory original.
Receiver - The receiver bluing has some finish wear, fading, and light freckling, particularly on the recoil lug. There are also some shallow scratches, but no dings or other damage to the metal.
Bolt - The bolt body has some finish wear on the handle and scratches on the body.

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
