This is a matching receiver and bolt body pair from a 1962 standard rifle.  Both pieces are marked with the serial number 557409.

Receiver - Overall, this receiver is in very good condition.  The receiver has been re-blued, with some wear and fading in the finish. There is wear on the rails and in the tang area, some discoloration around the receiver sight mounting location and on the front ring, and a faint line of freckling on the rear bridge. There are no holes or modifications to the receiver.

Bolt Body - The bolt body is also in very good condition with some fading of the bluing on the handle and light scratches in the bold body, but no significant scratches, nicks, or other metal damage on the piece.

We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
