This is a standard receiver from a 1956 Model 70 rifle, stamped with the serial number 389453. The tang on the receiver has been shortened - cut off slightly, otherwise the receiver is unmodified and original, without any notable damage.
NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer.
