This is a standard receiver from a 1950 Model 70 rifle, including is a complete bolt and trigger group. These parts have been coated (CeraKote?) and at least partially blueprinted. The receiver is marked with serial number 134941; there is no marking on the bolt.
The finish appears to be CeraKote and has a nice satin finish. The finish on the receiver is in excellent condition; there are a couple of minor imperfections under the scope bases. The finish on the bolt is in very good condition, there are several spots where the finish may have been polished in order to slicken up the action. The bolt slides in the receiver very smoothly.
The receiver shoulder has been trued, along with the bearing surfaces on the bolt and receiver, and the bolt face. It appears that the threads have not been modified.
The trigger group is all original and functions perfectly. The bolt stop and ejector are also original and fully functional.
The extractor ring is a short action ring that has been modified to allow full length cycling of the bolt for standard action cartridges.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
