This is a Type-III bolt housing with a face for magnum cartridges. The entire bolt has been polished - unblued.
Handle bluing - None, the bluing has been polished off.
Metal - This bolt is in very good overall condition. A serial number is faintly visible. There are no significant marks or nicks on the bolt shaft or bolt face.

NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
