This is a Type-II bolt housing with a face for standard cartridges.
Handle bluing - Generally dark with a worn spot, wear, and fading.
Metal - This bolt is in very good overall condition. It may have been polished, the serial number is no longer visible. There are no significant marks or nicks on the bolt shaft or bolt face.

NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
