This is a Type-III bolt housing with a face for standard cartridges. The bolt has been ground for scope clearance and polished - unblued.
Handle bluing - None, the bluing has been polished off.
Metal - This bolt is in very good overall condition; the handle has been ground and polished. A serial number is partially visible. There are no significant marks or nicks on the bolt shaft or bolt face.

NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
