This is a matching receiver and bolt body pair from a 1947 standard rifle. This transition era receiver has the cloverleaf tang of the pre-war models and the smooth rear bridge found on later models. The bolt is the later style. Both pieces are marked with the serial number 64940 and both have the original finish.
Receiver - Overall, this receiver is in very good condition. The receiver bluing is original, showing light wear on the rails, in the tang area, and on the rear bridge. There are a couple of very small marks (from a receiver sight?) on the side of the rear bridge. Additionally, there is series of light punch marks just below the stock line near the front ring. There are no holes or modifications to the receiver.
Bolt Body - The bolt body is in very good condition. The bolt handle has bluing wear. The bolt body has light scratches.

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
