This is a matching receiver and bolt body pair from a 1955 standard rifle with a Griffin & Howes scope mount system with 1" rings installed. This system allows for the quick removal and reinstallation of a scope without the loss of zero. This mount is all steel (some G&H mounts had some aluminum pieces) and has a windage adjustment built into the rear ring mount. The windage adjustment was an early feature, specially designed for some early scopes that were only adjustable for elevation. Overall, this set is in very good condition.
Receiver - Overall, this receiver is in very good condition. The bluing is original, with some light edge and rail wear. There are no notable scratches, dings or other metal damage. There are no holes or modifications to the receiver aside from the installation of the scope mount.
Bolt Body - The bolt body is in very good condition. The bolt handle has fading and bluing wear. The bolt body very few marks of any kind. The serial number is faint but matches the receiver.
Scope Mount - In excellent condition, possibly new. There are a very few minor marks from handling/storage, but overall this mount is near perfect.

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
