This is a standard receiver from a 1941 Model 70 rifle, stamped with the serial number 37339. This receiver has the slots for a stripper clip.

The rear bridge on this receiver had been drilled for a scope mount, and then the holes were filled and an attempt was made to restore the receiver to its original condition. The holes are not visible from the top but can be seen from the inside.  Additionally, the receiver has been re-blued. On the right side of the front ring there are some faded etched numbers.

We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
