This is a receiver from a 1956 standard rifle, marked with the serial number 389118.
The bluing is original; showing edge wear, light wear on the rails, and in the tang area. A rear scope base has worn the bluing and scratched the surface and there is also some wear from the front scope base. There are a couple of shallow scratches on the left side of the front ring. There are no holes or modifications to the receiver.
