This is a standard receiver from a 1953 Model 70 rifle, stamped with the serial number 280078.
Bluing - Most of the bluing is dark and even, but the rear bridge has been partially polished. There is also some light wear in the tang and on the rails.
Metal - Overall, the metal of this receiver is in excellent condition with no notable dings, scratches, pitting or other damage.
