This .300 H&H Magnum standard rifle was produced in 1950.  For the H&H rifles, 1950 remains a transition year and this serial number - 170165 - is the latest transition rifle we have ever heard of and is a couple thousand rifles later than the latest transition H&H Roger Rule was able to identify in his book.  The rifle has all Type-III features with the exception of an undrilled, smooth receiver bridge.  A unique configuration from the transition era.  This rifle grades in NRA very good condition.

The metal grades at 90%+ with all original bluing and no notable blemishes. There is normal handling wear and a faint impression in the bluing from a past receiver sight or a Stith style scope mount, but no damages, pitting, notable rubs or other issues.

The low comb stock retains its original steel buttplate with some bluing loss. The stock finish is worn, but there are no noted blemishes or modifications.

The bore of the 26" barrel is perfect with no noted wear, erosion or pits.  It grades a 8 out of 10 under borescope inspection.

All parts are correct and appear to be original to the rifle. The bolt is serial number matched to the receiver.

NOTE: This rifle must be shipped to an FFL or C&R holder who can complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who receive and transfer the rifle to you.  International shipping is available.  Please contact us for details.
