This is a rare .264 Win Magnum sightless model 70 rifle produced in 1960. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 494038. The rifle is in NRA excellent condition.
The original bluing on this rifle grades at 98%. There are a few pin-sized scratches on the trigger guard and light wear on the bolt components. The bolt handle has a few shallow pits (freckling?) that have been blued-over; there is one short (1/4"), shallow scratch near the muzzle, but no other damage to the metal.
With no throat wear and no pitting, the bore is rated as a 10 out of 10. Borescope verified.
The Monte Carlo stock has an original finish and with the exception of a few light handling marks is flawless. There are no gouges, cracks, dents, or oil stains. The original checkering is clean and crisp without any flat spots or dings. The hard rubber butt plate is in excellent condition but has some possible stock finish in the checkering.
