This is a beautiful .270 Winchester standard rifle, produced in 1949.  This is a fine representative example of the early post-war standard rifle configuration. Overall, it grades in NRA very good condition.

Overall, the original bluing grades at 95% with light edge wear on the barrel and receiver, and more wear on the bottom metal.  There is a small rub on the rear bridge from scope bases. The bluing on the bolt handle is thinning and there is some discoloration.

The bore of the 24" barrel shows some wear in the throat and some scattered pits. For these reasons, it rates a 7 out of 10 upon borescope inspection.  The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.

The stock has its original finish with some honest wear, shallow dings and scratches, but no deep gouges, cracks, splits, or repairs. The checkering is clean and in very good condition. The stock retains its factory-original steel buttplate; the bluing is thinning and there is some discoloration.
