This is a fine .270 Winchester Featherweight rifle, produced in 1955, grading in NRA very good condition with all original finishes. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.
The original bluing grades at 95%. The are some lightly pitted spots under the stock, see pictures, and a little edge wear. There is no other notable metal or finish damage. The aluminum floorplate is in excellent condition; the trigger has faded slightly.
The bore of the 22" barrel shows almost no throat wear or pitting. For these reasons, it rates a 9 out of 10 upon borescope inspection.
The stock has some handling marks and a few shallow dings, but no notable gouges, cracks, splits, or repairs. The checkering is clean and crisp, in very good condition. The stock retains its factory-original aluminum buttplate in excellent condition.
