This is a superb Featherweight rifle chambered in .270 Winchester and produced in 1955. It has clearly been very well cared for and grades in NRA excellent condition.
This rifle features the experimental #5 sight ramp. The metal finishes are near 95%, with slight edge wear, rubs, and scratches to the bluing. There is some wear around the muzzle and light scratches to the bottom metal.
The bore is in very good condition, with light wear in the throat and a few areas of extremely small pitting. We rate it an 8 out of 10 with borescope inspection. The bolt is correct and serial number matched to the receiver.
The beautiful stock has been professionally restored here in the pre64win shop and is in pristine condition, showing no cracks, splits, gouges, stains, or other blemishes. It features the original aluminum butt plate which is in perfect condition.
