This is a 1951 Super Grade rifle chambered in .30-06 with a Lyman Alaskan scope mounted in a Griffin & Howe mount. The rifle is in NRA very good condition.
The stock has a low-comb stock with a steel buttplate. The stock was refinished by the Pre64Win team and the buttplate has been freshly re-blued.
The metal is in very good condition, with some light bluing wear throughout and a few small scratches.
The bore of the 24" barrel is in excellent condition with almost no evident wear or erosion and only a few light pits. It rates a 9 out of 10 under borescope examination.
The scope is a Lyman Alaskan with a post-and-crosshair reticle; the glass is clear and sharp and the scope has an original leather cover. The mount is a Griffin & Howe quick-detach mount that functions perfectly.
