This extremely collectible rifle is serial number 237. It's a standard rifle produced in early 1936, chambered in .30-06, and grading in NRA excellent condition.
The beautifully restored stock is in excellent, almost flawless condition. It has no cracks, splits, gouges, stains, or other notable blemishes, and retains its original steel butt plate. The original checkering remains crisp and defined with no wear.
The metal has been professionally reblued, and repairs have been made to fill holes drilled in the rear bridge. The last picture shows the rear bridge before repairs were made. Metal repairs expertly done by Doug Watson of On Point Firearms. The bore shows very little wear in the throat, but it has a few light pits which become more pronounced near the muzzle. It rates a 7 out of 10 with borescope inspection.
