This is a Featherweight rifle chambered in .243 Winchester. The receiver and bolt are serial number matched with number 530926, indicating a 1961 manufacture date.
The metal finishes are pristine, rating at 95%. The barrel bluing is virtually perfect, and the receiver has just slight bluing wear from working the bolt. The bolt components, bottom metal, and swivels all remain excellent.
The bore of the 22" barrel has very slight wear in the throat, no pits, and rates a 9 out of 10 with borescope examination.
The stock is in very good condition with a Monte Carlo comb and a hard plastic buttplate, correct for a 1961 rifle. There are light handling marks but no cracks, chips, deep scratches, repairs or other damage. The checkering is very nice - clean and unblemished, with only slight flattening. There is some flaking of the finish adjacent to the buttplate, which has been slightly touched up.
