This is a .30-06 standard barrel from a 1948 Model 70 rifle.
Bluing and Metal - This barrel has some light finish wear, mostly at the muzzle and along the stock line. There are also several small spots of freckling. There are no deep pits, dings, or other metal damage. The bluing is generally dark.
Bore - 8/10 - With no throat wear but many very shallow pits, the bore rates an 8 out of 10 under borescope examination.
