This is a type-I bolt housing for standard caliber rifles.
Handle bluing - 90% - The bluing on this bolt handle is slightly worn and faded.
Metal - This bolt is in excellent overall condition. There are no notable scratches, nicks, or other marks of damage on the bolt shaft or face. The base of the handle shaft has been slightly relieved to create clearance for a scope (see photos).

NOTE: While model 70 bolts may appear to be interchangeable, to safely replace the bolt in a rifle requires the action to be checked for proper headspacing and lug seating. This is a simple procedure which can be performed in a matter of minutes by a qualified gunsmith.
