This is a standard steel trigger guard from a Winchester Model 70 rifle. The guard has a tiny triangle-dash mark on one edge, indicating that it is pre-war. It has been rust-blued in the pre64win.com shop, which is the correct finish for a pre-war trigger guard.
Bluing - Refinished. The new finish contains no fading, edgewear, scratches, freckling, or other cosmetic flaws.
Metal - The metal is in excellent condition with no sign of wear or damage, aside from a few tiny tool marks around the screw hole beneath the new finish.
