This is a standard receiver from a 1950 Model 70 rifle, stamped with the serial number 147461. Sometime in the past, this receiver was polished and reblued.  Polishing marks are visible. There has been some machining work done on the receiver face. Additionally, there is now some wear, discoloration, and freckling in the finish.

We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE

NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
