This is a receiver from a 1959 standard rifle, marked with the serial number 440974. This receiver has been drilled with an extra hole in the rear bridge. This extra hole is filled with a plug that has a damaged slot; we have not attempted to remove the plug.
There is some freckling on and around the recoil lug and some discoloration on the rear bridge. There is light finish wear and fading, but no notable defects or damage other than that already noted.
