This is a matching receiver and bolt body pair from a 1947 standard rifle. Both pieces are marked with the serial number 71627. This is a "transition era" receiver with the cloverleaf tang found on the pre-war model combined with the smooth, and drilled, rear bridge of the later models.
Receiver - The original finish has wear on the rails and in the tang area and the front ring is worn with some light freckling. There are a few shallow pits on the tang but no scratches, dings, or other metal damage.
Bolt - The bolt has bluing wear and light freckling on the handle but no other notable metal damage.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
