This is a matching receiver and bolt body pair from a 1948 standard rifle. Both pieces are marked with the serial number 99130. This is a "transition era" receiver with the cloverleaf tang found on the pre-war model combined with the smooth, and drilled, rear bridge of the later models.
Receiver - The original finish has wear on the rails, recoil lug, and in the tang area. There is some surface rust/discoloration on the recoil lug. There is a small scratch and wear on the rear bridge from a scope mount.
Bolt - The bolt handle has notable bluing wear and shallow scratches. The rear base of the bolt handle has a small ground spot but no other notable metal damage, repairs or modifications. The bolt shaft has shallow surface scratches.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
NOTE: Laws governing transfer of firearms require that receivers be shipped to an FFL holder. If you do not hold an FFL or C&R license, you will need to enlist the services of an FFL to complete the transfer. If needed, we are happy to assist you in locating an FFL holder near you who can complete the transfer on your end.
