This is a standard receiver from a 1954 Model 70 rifle, stamped with the serial number 300995.
Bluing - Previously re-blued - The finish is even, but with some light wear on the rails and in the tang area.
Metal - There are some shallow scratches, some of which were blued over, and some of which are fresh.
