This is an excellent condition 1961 Featherweight rifle chambered in .243 Winchester. The receiver and bolt are serial number matched with number 531331.
The receiver and barrel finish remain in excellent condition with almost no wear, scratches, or thinning to the bluing. The aluminum bottom metal is also in very good condition with just a few small light scratches. There is some finish wear on the bolt components, especially the extractor and extractor ring, but the bolt knob bluing remains dark and even with very little wear.
The bore of the 22" barrel contains a small amount of throat wear, and no pitting. We rate the bore a 9 out of 10 with borescope inspection.
The all-original stock is in very good to excellent condition, with a few light scratches and dings. There is some slight crackling of the finish at the buttstock, and a light ding on the hand grip. Please see pics. The stock retains the factory hard plastic buttplate. The checkering is exceptionally clean and sharp without any notable wear or flattening.
