This is a standard rifle chambered in .257 Roberts, produced in 1951. The rifle retains the original factory finishes and has no added holes or other modifications. It grades in NRA very good condition.
The stock is original in all respects with some handling wear but no significant cracks, gouges, splits, or repairs. It retains its original steel butt plate, which has some bluing wear and dings along the edges. The checkering is in very good condition with light wear.
The original bluing is in very good condition. The receiver bluing has light edge wear and the bolt handle has notable wear. The barrel has a series of worn patches on the forward end. The floorplate is in very good condition some light rub marks. The trigger guard has light edge wear. The are no notable dings, pitting, or deep scratches in the metal.
The bore of the 24" barrel has some light wear and heat cracking in the throat, but enough pitting to reduce its rating to a 6 out of 10. Borescope verified.
