This is a Winchester model 70 rifle chambered in .270 Winchester. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 309642, indicating a 1954 manufacture date.  This rifle grades in NRA very good to excellent condition.  

The stock has its original finish with a few handling marks. The was a crack in front of the trigger that has been professionally repaired by the Pre-64 team; it is not visible, the stock is structurally solid, and the crack does not affect the functioning of the rifle. The checkering on this rifle is in very good condition with just a few flat spots.

The finish on the barrel is in excellent condition and there is no notable metal damage. The receiver has a few small rubs in the finish but no metal damage. There is minor wear on the receiver rails and on the bolt components. The bottom metal is in excellent condition.  All parts appear to be original.

The bore is in excellent condition with just very minor wear and no pits.  We rate it as a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
