This is a 1955 Featherweight rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The receiver and bolt are marked with matching serial numbers - 345795.
The metal is in excellent condition with an original factory finish, no notable blemishes and very little bluing wear. The aluminum bottom metal is still mostly dark, with a few small scratches. There is some very light finish wear on the receiver rails, on the bolt components, at the muzzle, and on the front sight hood.
The stock is original to the rifle with a Monte Carlo comb and an aftermarket Pachmayr White Line recoil pad. There is honest wear, with shallow scratches and dings but no significant repairs, cracks, or staining. The checking is in good condition with a few flat spots.
The bore of the 22" barrel has no throat wear and just a few scattered pits, rating a 9 out of 10 under borescope examination.
