This is a 1961 Model 70 Standard rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The receiver and bolt are both marked with serial number 532214, indicating a 1961 manufacturing date.

The Monte Carlo stock appears to have been previously over-coated. It retains the factory hard rubber buttplate, which is in very good condition. The stock has minor handling wear but no significant dents, cracks, repairs, or other damage. The checkering is exceptionally clean and crisp.

The metal finishes are in very good condition, partially refinished, with some very minor wear on the bolt components and the receiver rails. The barrel has been refinished and is in near-perfect condition. The are no significant dings, scratches, repairs or other damage to the metal.

The bore of the 24" barrel has no notable throat wear or pitting. We rate it as a 9+ out of 10 under borescope evaluation.
