This is a .300 H&H Magnum rifle produced in 1954. The bolt and receiver are both marked with serial number 318676.
The metal has only minor finish wear, but several shallow scratches, including on the receiver and the bottom metal, and small dings on the trigger guard and the crown. The bluing is generally dark and even.
Structurally, the stock presents in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, gouges, deep scratches or other structural damage. It has been previously refinished, but not in the pre64win shop. This finish is a bit shinier than original and has a few cosmetic blemishes. There are a few light handling marks and scuffs, but no significant scratches, peeling or damage. The original steel buttplate appears to retain the factory bluing in good condition, with some light bluing wear and some spots of rust pitting. The checkering is clean and sharp and in very good condition. This stock has not been bedded, shortened, or otherwise modified, besides the refinishing.
The bore of the 26" barrel is in excellent condition with almost no throat wear and no pits, rating a 9 out of 10. Borescope verified.
